Description

Milk Street’s 2-shelf hutch is finished beautifully on top so you can choose to use it atop our double dresser or set it on the floor and use it as a bookcase. On the base, or bottom shelf, four screw-on feet and mounting hardware are included with the hutch/bookcase to make it a truly substantial bookcase. We also include an anti-tip hardware kit to be used for added stability whether it is functioning as a hutch or as a bookcase. The underside of the hutch is covered with a thick felt to protect the top of your 6-drawer dresser. All of the shelves on our hutch/bookcase are adjustable and come with self-locking clips. We include a light you can affix to the underside of one shelf to enhance the display of decorative items on its shelves. This light can also serve as a nightlight for your baby or toddler. It can be recharged through the use of the included USB cable.A new addition to the hutch bookcase for 2019 is our clothing rod option. We want you to have optimal flexibility with this piece. Use some or a mix of all of our pieces included to totally customize your nursery. You will find a cut-out on the bottom edge of the hutch so you can slide wires through when choosing to put a TV or computer on the case top. This cut-out, while a simple feature, will keep electrical wires out of sight and reach of small hands. Make sure if you are using this piece as a bookcase on the floor that you install the front two legs at the correct height (slightly higher) as shown in the assembly manual. It should sit slightly higher in front, so that the bookcase leans back, keeping the weight of the bookcase against the wall. Just one more thing Milk Street does to keep everything as childproof as possible!
